NEW PPP School Granted

At last it looks that we will get our new school after many years of campaigning following the announcement on Tuesday morning, 16^th December.

This was greeted with great joy by parents , staff and students alike. We look forward to having one school building at long last,  which will bring to an end forty years of travel by pupils and teachers between three separate school buildings. 

Our school will be built under the Public Private Partnership ( PPP ) and BallinamorePPS made the list for a new school building along with six others from primary and post-primary sectors. It is hoped to have the new school open by 2012 if not sooner.

Our school would sincerely like to thank all those who worked tirelessly over the years on our behalf. The list is endless but we would like to thank the main groups who worked on our behalf:

Board of Management, Principals,  Parent’s Association, Trustee’s, Politicians, Teaching staff, pupils, parents, local and national media, local businesses and community groups.
