4th Year Agricultural Science

Students, along with their teacher, Ms. Colum visited Kearns Organic Farm in Roosky, Co. Roscommon. Students got to see all types of organic fruit and vegetables, including pumpkins and yellow beetroot. Students then visited the newly re-vamped Mohill Mart, where the manager spoke to students. The class then visited the South Leitrim branch of Teagasc in Mohill where they learned about Teagasc’s function in the agricultural community. The final leg of the trip saw a visit to Ashwood Veterinary Clinic where Paula Quinn gave an indepth description of the workings of the clinic.
